10 Weeks and Counting Down

I have officially made it to 30 weeks...what a big milestone...I can now officially count down on my fingers!! Yeah!As for how things are coming along:
  • We went to the doctors and I am measuring 1 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule. I am not at all surprised as I think we are going to have a huge baby. My friend Leah had a dream we had a baby girl and she came out sitting up. Our baby is an overachiever already and MUST be a big baby to sit up! haha
  • My ankles are starting to swell a little. I am not sure if this is pregnancy induced or 100+ degree weather days with 70% humidity? I think the weather might make the normal person swell just a bit!
  • The other night I woke up and thought that I might be having a slight heart attack. I had to wake Jeremy up just so he knew that I might be dying....well after a tums...the heart attack stopped. Good think Jeremy (the non medical person in the family) knew what heart burn was and how to treat it!!
  • My belly moves all over the place! I am pretty sure that Baby Harrison is an active little fella or girl. It is always moving all over the place. There is not much room to move around in now, but it likes to poke different extremities into my rib cage and run extremities down my side! I still love every little movement and can totally see how sad I will be when it's not moving inside me anymore. I know there will be so much more joy watching it move on the outside, but it's such a WONDERFUL bonding experience between mother and child!
  • A few feelings of 'oh my gosh, we are going to have a baby in less than 10 weeks...can Jeremy and I really handle this?' Well I know that we will be able to handle it for the first 2 weeks because my mom will be here to help us with every step, but what will I do when she leaves? Hope breastfeeding will be all under control before she leaves! It will be such a blessing to have my mom here for 2 weeks. I think it will be an amazing bonding time for the two of us and for her and her first grandchild! I can't wait for her to meet the baby either!
  • Jeremy is finishing up on the bedroom and changing table. Yeah! I am ready to get everything moved into the room and and start to get it set up. We still don't have a crib, but not to worry it will be here October 1st and I will leave a spot in the room for it!! Jeremy is reconstructing a old desk to make a changing table. It will be such a neat addition to the baby's room!
  • A few little sewing projects. As many people know I LOVE to sew. I have not made any outfits for the baby yet since we don't know what we are having, but I did make a taggie lovey and some blocks with bells inside of them for the baby. The blocks are so much fun to make and the jingle bells from one of my Christmas wreaths made a wonderful addition to the blocks!
  • More and more people are touching my belly. It does not bother me at all when people touch it, good thing, since it happens all the time! Last night we were at the wedding of Andy and Lauren Vaughn and I think EVERYONE there touched it. I kinda think it's precious that Jeremy's friends are already bonding with Baby Harrison. They all try and get a chance to feel it move or just pat it a few times to say Hello and let the baby know who they are. I am sure Baby Harrison will get to know some of them really well!
  • Toys! I have now officially put some batteries in a few of the baby toys. My BFF's little girl Avery came over the other day and tested out some of the baby's toys! Thanks Avery for making sure they worked! She also practiced reading the books! She really liked the dog book, I am sure it will also be a favorite of Baby Harrison! I even bought some blocks the other day at the store, they were just too cute to resist! I think every child needs blocks like these!
Over all things are still going great! We are getting more and more excited to meet little Baby Harrison!
