Making Baby Food

Jenn, Grayson, Kayleigh and I made baby food.  The intention was for Jenn and I to make baby food and for the babies to play or nap, but that is not exactly what happened.  Both babies were against napping and playing today so Kayleigh went in the ergo baby, Grayson in the baby bejorn and we made some baby food.
Gray and Jenn showing off sweet potatoes!
Kayleigh actually fell asleep for a little bit...even slept thru the blender!

We made peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples and pears.  The whole process was super easy.  We steamed everything, put it in the food processor (some things needed a little extra blending in the blender) and then into ice cube trays to freeze in perfect sized portions! We made 10 ice cube trays of food!!  Grayson tried carrots and Jenn said he was not quite a fan?!?!  I am really excited how everything turned out...so I guess I will continue to make baby food for Kayleigh for awhile!!
Here they are actually 'playing' when we were done!  Kayleigh was attacking him at times...we might need to start working on gentle!

Sorry the pics are not the best...I forgot my camera, so there are cell phone pictures!

  1. yay! i'll be doing that again next winter. but i think fall/winter babies get it better because spring/summer options are so much more exciting (um, and cheaper =) as everything is in season. i also am a complete nerd and enjoyed seeing all the colors in my freezer from the bags of baby food. i may also have eaten whatever Lydia didn't finish (which wasn't often because she was a pig) because it was so yummy. happy eating, kayleigh!
