Starting Mothers Day Out

Our spunky little almost 2 year old started a Mother's Day Out program.  She goes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9 till 2:30.  The first Thursday I took her to school was one of those Mom moments that you are so proud, but also so sad.  I was crying before we even left the house just knowing that I had to drop off my precious baby girl and then come home to an empty, quite house without her.

Kayleigh wanted to hold me hand the whole way to school as if she was saying it will be ok Mama, I will be back in just a few hours.  I had Jeremy meet me at the school cause I knew I would need his support as I left her there.
As we walked her into school with her wearing her backpack and carrying her lunch box I couldn't help but to keep crying because my baby is now a toddler.  She was so sweet saying Hi and waving to the other kids.  Kayleigh walked into her classroom like a champ.  She was excited to see all the new toys to play with and to meet the new kids.

Kayleigh's teacher is Mrs. Danielle.  She is Jeremy's cousin Brett's wife.  Danielle has helped us keep Kayleigh some over the past year so I was very comfortable with her being Kayleigh's teacher.  As I am crying in the classroom Danielle stated it perfectly "Mama is having a much harder time than the child!"

Yes I did have a hard time dropping my baby off at school, I might have cried the whole way home, and some thru the grocery store, but I did come home and have almost 5 hours of uninterrupted sewing time!!  I am trying to work most Tuesday and Thursdays so I don't have to have my heart broken everytime she gets dropped off!!
Our neighbor Franklin drove by and I was crying and taking pictures of Kayleigh and he stopped to take a picture of me and her!!

I wanted to show a closer view of her backpack...I put her name on it!!  I love my monogramming machine!
