1 month old

How can this even be possible, Caroline is already 1 month old!

She weighs a little over 11lbs and is 22.75 inches long.  

She is trying really hard to gain head control.  She wants to keep watch on her big sister so head control is her next "goal."

Caroline's favorite things at one month old are being held, nursing, swinging and of course every interaction with her big sister.  Caroline is staying awake for longer period of times during the day and loves to be talked to.  She just watches us and sometimes even coos back.  We are waiting for the smiles to start. 

Caroline usually goes to bed around 10pm and then is up about every 2 hours to nurse.  My goal for her is to space out her night time feeds...she is a big girl, she should be able to sleep for LONG period of times!

Caroline is a very flexible baby.  She can wait to nurse for a few minutes if I am doing something with Kayleigh, she falls asleep in her carseat almost every time and hardly ever cries.  She is a VERY noisy eater, sleeper and breather.  Jeremy and I have been calling her squeeky since those are the noises she makes almost all day.  She is so loud the lady on the phone the other day started laughing and said your baby is making such sweet and loud noises!  Caroline just wanted to make sure she is heard since her sister is talking all the time.  I can only imagine how much talking will go on in our house once both girls are talking! 

I could have never imagined I would love someone else as much as I love Kayleigh.  Everyone told me it was possible to love two children but I didn't know my heart could hold so much love.  I am just smitten with my little family.  It is amazing to watch the interaction between the girls and I just love saying "my girls!"  I could not even imagine out lives without Caroline in them.  We had so much joy and happiness with Kayleigh and now even more joy has came into out lives with Caroline.
