So I am a little behind on posting, but the baby and I went to Colorado to visit my family. (I guess the baby actually goes EVERYWHERE I go, but still...we went to CO) It was so fun to see my family and all of them get to "meet" the baby for the first time. They all touched my belly and Kyle growled at the baby...he just wanted to baby to know who Uncle Kyle was?!?! I asked Lance to be the baby's Godfather when I was home and of course he said yes! Sorry that there is no 17 weeks photo, but 17 weeks happened when I was in Colorado and I forgot to take a photo!

I am getting bigger every week...my book says now that the baby is 6 inches and about 5 oz..so about the size of a chicken breast. I am excited because that is kinda big! In less than two weeks we are having our ultrasound!!! I am excited to see the little baby again, but VERY nervous since we are also going to look at all the organs. As a PICU nurse all I see are children with problems, especially heart problems. I realize that I only see about 5% of the children population in this world, but 36 kids every time I work with issues kinda seems like a lot of children. Jeremy and I both have STRONG genes so I am praying that everything is perfect!!

It's funny to think about how a pregnancy goes...you get pregnant and then just wait till the 12th weeks because then your chances of miscarriage are much less, then you wait till your 20th week for that important ultrasound where you see the baby, see the sex of your baby (if you choose) and see all the organs. Then usually the next time you see you baby is the day it's born! It's a long time from the 20 week ultrasound till the day it's born....but it's worth the wait!

On a last quick note....CONGRATULATIONS to Holly and Wil on the birth of there sweet little girl Kynlee Faith who weighed 9lbs 14oz and was 21 1/4 inches!! She is precious. I think that Holly and I are going to be in competition for the largest baby cause I just have a feeling that Jeremy and I are going to have a HUGE baby!
