Names

Wow...what is a name? A name is something that you have for the REST OF YOUR LIFE and is given to you by your parents. I guess it is their first "gift" to you. Our gifts were Jessica Mary and Jeremy Carroll Horton. Jeremy and I have been talking about names for a long time and there have been many names thrown around. Jeremy has 4 names and would like for our child to have 4 names too. I have agreed to letting the boy have 4 names, but we are going to keep our girls with 3 names.

We have made a final decision on a girl's name for sure. Kayleigh MaryBell Harrison. We get the MaryBell from Mary-my mom's name and my middle name and Bell-Jeremy's mom's maiden name. And if it's a boy it's probably going to be Bode Carroll Russell Harrison. We are still unsure of the spelling for the first name (Bode, Bodie, Bodi??) and we might even change our mind on the first name, but for the current time that is the name. As for a middle name explanation Carroll-Jeremy's middle name and his Grandfather's middle name and Russell-my Dad's name. I do have to say that the nice thing about 4 names is you can use names from both sides of the families!

It's just a lot of pressure to think what their name will make them. I mean President Bode Carroll Russell Harrison...I think that sounds great! (Jake you should be proud that we thought of a Presidential name!!) And of course Nurse Kayleigh!! Just a little side note, when you google Bode you get information about Bode Miller, one of the USA skiers who won a gold metal in the super-combined in 2010! Those are some pretty big footsteps to follow!!

When I used to drive from Denver to Grand Junction to college there was a little town East of Glenwood Springs called No Name, Colorado. How sad that it never got a real name!!
