Colorado Baby Shower

So I know that it has been a long time since I posted, but the '3' of us went to Colorado for a baby shower and last visit home till the baby comes! My mom, Aunt Julie and hopefully soon to be sister-in-law Shannon threw me an amazing baby shower, while my dad, brothers and Uncle Bill threw Jeremy a fireside chat! The fireside chat consisted of a lot of drinking, getting a ladder golf-ball stuck in the tree (well they think it's in a tree, but it's yet to be found) and eating brats. I know that they all had a GREAT time. Here are a few pics to prove it!

The King Boys (Mark, Kyle and Lance)

Jack, Kyle's dog even participated in the events!

Uncle Tom had a few...I will explain the bow later

Of course the girl shower had a little different theme! I had a wonderful time surrounded by my amazing family and friends. Jeremy, Baby Harrison and I were blessed with some wonderful gifts including our stroller/car seat combo, pack-n-play, swing, diaper genie, boppy, a bathtub, bath items, toys, clothes and of course many wonderful books. I can not wait for the baby to get here so I can read all the sweet books to him/her! We were able to get all of the items back to Tennessee thanks to Southwest airlines and two bags per person flying free and a 50lb weight limit!! My mom did a really cute job at decorating. There were precious little outfits, towels, washcloths and blankets hanging on a clothing line, even some outfits that the boys and I wore when we were little!

There was one very special item that I received at my baby shower that some of my Aunts, cousins, one day to be sister in laws and I enjoyed at the end of the night. When I was a little girl my mom ALWAYS but bows in my hair. Back then they bow style was HUGE bows that I probably could have gotten some air with. We all decided to end the night with a few different looks in our hair. I seriously can't believe that those bows used to fit on my little head cause they are still HUGE on my adult sized head. We had a lot of good laughs about those bows. Thanks to Carly for taking such good care of my bows are retuning them so my little girl (if it's a girl) can use them some day. I can't promise my mom that I will use all of them in her hair cause some are a little large...but I am pretty sure the hot loop bow and cow bow will come to good use!! Nicole and Monica I promise to make your little girls matching hot loop bows one day!!

My mom made a precious diaper cake for the shower. I was very proud of her diaper cake making skills...she is where I got all my creativity from! It even has a bunny rattle toy on it!

We had ice cream cakes at the baby shower...just like the ones that we had at our wedding. Every pregnant woman needs ice cream cakes!
